Growing up in a family of artists ranging from muralists and folk
artists, to furniture makers, I have known my way around an art studio
from a young age. Upon beginning private art lessons at age five, I knew
my calling and began to cultivate and refine my raw talent. My work
reflects the traditional, representational vein and is peppered with the
quirks of an eclectic background. My classical training is apparent
with bursts of imaginative and conceptual elements wrought with human
emotion. My soulful portrait work aims to capture part of the human
narrative and lives well lived. It must also be said that I am color
blind which offers me a unique freedom to explore creative color palates
and non-traditional subject treatments while still holding true to my
fine art core.
I am a single father living in Hampton, Virginia where I raise my three beautiful children Ashton, Mckenzie and Cooper.
