  • Question about charcoal types

    Hi I am getting back to drawing and love the expressiveness of charcoal as a medium for figure drawing. I have tried out vine charcoal and compressed charcoals on Strathmore Charcoal paper. I find that vine erases too easily and the compressed charcoals are hard to erase and a bit greasy. Could someone...

    Hi DaleA - Glad to hear you're having a go at the Bargue course! As far as the book-binding, I've read the same thing about it being poorly bound. Honestly, I don't see any problems with mine, but I haven't gotten so far that I've tried scanning pages from the middle of the book yet...
