Old Paths……pinon pine

Jeremiah 6:16 "ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." Old roads and paths are intriguing.  One wonders who came by…..a herd of buffalo, flowing over the hills?  Conestoga wagons bearing settlers west?  Native Americans watching it all……..who knows…… 36"x24" m. graham…

Snowy Fire Hydrant

It almost took on a personality of its' own, topped with snow, vibrant colors and shining sun causing shadows.  10"x8"….oil on cotton/lbirch panel.

This was last summer in Amboise, a day when there has been a plenty of rain … but towards the late afternoon, the sun did shine & created magic patterns through the dense foliage. Done on 13"x17" CP 300 gsm WC paper using transparent watercolors.
