Burgundy Irises

8 by 16" watercolor painting on Langton Prestige paper. First time painting florals with white background. The edges and colors aren't perfect but the composition works I think. Comments appreciated!

Flag Irises

11" by 14" watercolor on Langton Prestige paper. I love irises. It is easy to create your own compositions with random photographs. Drops are really fun to draw too. I'll be adding a lot more to my floral pieces in the future. Comments appreciated!

Orchid Duet

16" by 20" watercolor on Langton Prestige paper. This was so hard to paint, especially the centers! I like how it turned out regardless. Tell me what you think. Constructive criticism also appreciated. Live and learn. 🙂

Ruffled Irises

8 by 16" watercolor painting on Langton Prestige paper. I tried to make this floral piece simple but elegant with little detail. Tell me what you think! Do you like white background florals?

Red Tulips in the Garden

9 by 12" watercolor painting on Langton Prestige paper. One of my first attempts at negative painting-it was a real pain trying to refocus myself to work almost entirely on edges and value instead of color- but I'm happy with the way it came out!

Red Flowers

10 by 11" watercolor painting on Langton Prestige paper. Here I tried to combine negative and positive painting to make some things come forward and others recede. I also used salt, color sanding of pencils, and glued on natural papers. Hope you like it!
