Although I was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York
and lived all up and down the eastern coast of the United States, I settled about
30 years ago in Tulsa OK where I have made a living as an oil painter.
When I am not painting, I am teaching oil painting
techniques to my adult students in classes at TCC, Zieglers and Gilcrease
Museum. I paint in the style of the
post-impressionists whose work is figurative and painterly in nature.
I also participate in the Tulsa
Arts and Humanities Council’s Artists in the Schools program and I am an artist
in residence at Kaiser Rehab and the High Risk Pregnancy unit through Hillcrest
Hospital’s Arts in Healing Program. I am
on the board for Tulsa’s new contemporary art center and helped design the two
installments on Tulsa’s only Art Parkway which includes “The Tulsa Spirit

floral still life paintings, and paintings of Oklahoma landscapes. My painting, “Sunset on the Tall Grass Prairie” was
chosen in 2008 to travel with Paint America’s Paint the Parks Exhibition. I was excited to find out that I was recently
chosen to exhibit in the gallery in the Oklahoma State Capital Bldg in the
summer/fall of 2012.
I work on commission as well, painting
landscapes, gardens, portraits and still lifes of my client’s collections
of family heirlooms and sacred
