Thanks for your comment! (Painting the flowers was the act of a desperate man, too much snow and cold during the winter can make those flower colors look amazingly good to a guy with cabin fever.)

The value of art

My half sheet pieces sell for $400-500 framed, depending on how good I think they are and whether they have been juried into a show or not. I sell in two island galleries.

I have to tell you I don't want to create a friends list. I came to the sight for constructive criticism by other artist, much like, I was hoping, you get in a good workshop. I offer knowledge if I have it and it is relative. I have such a long way to go before I can't paint anymore and I have set some rather large goals I would like to make. But I also know I have started this rather late in life.

I don't critic anything but watercolor. I don't believe an oil painter who has never painted watercolor can understand the agony or the exhileration of watercolor.

Hi Laura, I hope you don't mind if I am direct. You have an interest in alot of media and you seem to have a talent for any one you want to use. But, unless you just want to be a jack of all media and a master of none, you want to grab a medium and run with it. This was the advice of Frank Webb in the summer 2008 American Artist Watercolor magazine and I have heard it from others. You seem to love your art. Good luck to you. Randy
