I am a painter finally focused on painting every day. I paint plein air when weather allows and in the studio other times. I have no set subject because I like to explore new ideas, though my paintings reflect life on Quadra Island, off the east coast of Vancouver Island, where I have lived for 20 years. I earned my BA in Art & Crafts and their History at UCSC, and lived on Hornby Island for 15 years as a potter until chronic pain issues changed my life. Now I have created a business and life with my husband Tracy Tomlinson that is based on our interests (passion), abilities and skills.
I have a studio and B&B called Firesign Art & Design Studio and B&B, where I offer painting getaways and workshops, as well as a 3-bedroom B&B with very comfortable, clean, homey accommodations-and delicious breakfasts catered to guests' dietary preferences.
