Thank you, Daniel. Your comments are particularly meaningful to me, as your figurative artwork is stunning - and something I keep looking to for inspiration. I have a couple more smaller portraits coming, which shouldn't take as long as the suqare on (no hands!) - so I look forward to posting them.

Daniel, those are such nice comments - thank you, thank you. You are right about the composition - much agony there! I appreciate you noticing that, as I did spend a great deal of time on that part! Putting the painting on a square canvas was a risk too, but with the crossed arms and highly angular head/upper arms, I was hoping it would work.

I put this under my painting, but not sure if you are going back there!

thank you for commenting and viewing my art. i put the time spent on these paintings to make sure people know i didnt spend hours on the piece.

i do paintings that take hours. however i am not posting them on here for a while.

dude thanks for the kind words about my latest group of paintings. i did 4 paintings from 2 live models in one day. it was power painting and i was so spent as where the models. i wondered if i was taking on to much for one day?

i couldnt decide if i should upload them all or just pick out the best one.

but then i always like to post my good, bad and ugly's just to show people that its not easy and everyone can have bad days.

Hi Daniel,

The system for private messages is just an email notification system. So, if you responded to that, it did likely go into the internet ether of unanswered emails. Can be confusing.

But thanks for sharing your note again. No, I wouldn't worry about the size of the image you uploaded. For the future, I'd recommend keeping an image close to 140 kB, but don't worry about the other. [:)]
