Each day as I gain more power from the sun it enables me to be more creative. My driving force comes from my childhood in Youngstown and what I was blessed to see at that early stage of my life. As a child I can vividly remember being mesmerized by the books of Ezra Jack Keats and John Steptoe, the paintings of Ernie Barnes and the drawings of Charles White. From that day until this one I have been drawing and painting trying to pay homage to those artist. And in those efforts, I try to convey my own light to the world. "I make art for the people."
