None of the libary's here had it. It took me a long while to get through it as it has a lot of information. While taking Clayton's class I worked on my color charts. I'm starting to re-read it again as now I have a lot of questions.

I am also taking Michael Van Zeyl's color classes and then the 5 weeks of still life classes after that. I'd like to take the 10 week class but I have to drive quite a ways to get to the P&C which makes for a long day. I've taken several classes with Michael and feel I have progressed each time. He has a very large loyal following.

Thanks for the good comments about my paintings. I haven't had a chance to look at anybodys galleries yet. I better take the time to do so.

Talk to you sometime, more than likely at the P&C.

You captured the reflections and perspectives spot on. Chicago is a wonderful city, you're fortunate to be so close. Hope you had a great holiday.
How did your painting turn out?

And I can say as a husband myself that we are use to being out-voted. Your friends are going to love the painting!

Your portraits

Mariel,

I made a few changes on your critique painting in photoshop and loaded it to the My files section on my page. Hope you don't mind, this seems to be the best way for me to make my suggestions. Let me know when you have looked at it and I'll delete it. I think you have done a splendid job with the faces, it will make a fantastic gift.

Best,
Paul

And as they say admitting you have a problem is half the battle! I wasn't offended in any way by the comments you made and truly do appreciate the input. I'm still a student of all of this too.

Thanks for the input! -- Paul

Thanks

I flipped my Drawing Day drawing and some of my other drawings in Photoshop (my digital mirror). That helped reveal a lot of things I didn't see. The woman in my Drawing Day drawing is 99 years old and her face is a bit asymmetrical, but I picked up other problems that I didn't intend. So -- thanks for the help, I plan on doing this from now-on.

Best -- Paul

Thanks

Thanks for your nice comment about my drawings. Your work is wonderful too. I'm still learning about portraits. Fee free to offer any critiques on any of my work. I haven't ventured into painting a portrait yet -- maybe soon...

All the best
