I am a retired civil engineer living in Arizona with my wife of 24 years. I love to paint, travel and read all types of books. I retired early so that we can enjoy our lives without the pressure of work. I first started to draw when I was about eight and stopped until I was in high school where I took one art class. In college I studied architecture until I changed to engineering. While studying architecture I took four years of art. When I graduated I did not draw or paint until I retired about eight years ago. Todate I have painted over five hundred canvases of many different subjects. I look at these eight years as part of my art training. My newest project was a short slide show. I wrote the script and built the cast. The slide show is seven minutes in length. I am working on another slide show. This one will be about fifteen minutes in lenght. It will not be ready for several months. My goal is to improve my artistic skills as soon as possible.
