My Bio

I was born in Melbourne, Florida.  My Grandmother, Elise, was a painter.  While visiting her house as a child, I use to spend quiet time in her studio with the smell of turpentine and fresh paint, and was drawn into a world where I had time and freedom to truly be creative.  I have carried that over into my own life and family.  The best way I know how to consistently grow as an artist, is to simply spend time alone with my art.  Nothing can take the place of that quality time.  My favorite media are pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel and charcoal.  My designs consist of strong imagery, expressive line work, and an eye for sharp detail.

  • Day 20

Today in the Breakroom during lunch I drew this using Sharpie and Ballpoint pen on a plastic spoon.  I was caught off guard that the pen was actually free flowing real well on plastic.

This sketch was done while my Pastor was talking about dying to your old self and putting on the Righteousness of God.  Not sure how they correlate to one another, but I'm staying true to just putting down on paper what comes to my mind.

Hanging at a local coffee shop tonight with a good friend and sketched this while talking about life.

Using pen and ink to sketch on work related papers.  Why is it us artists can never just listen in a meeting....we always have to sketch.

Working with Soft Pastel and Conte Crayon.  I applied the underlayer with my finger, then the above layer with the stick.
