What kept coming up was "Rufus". You call it a sketch but the painting has a power about it that haunts me. You kept your palette so nuetral so that the dog's softness is a pervasive feeling/look. I would be very proud of that one and would not touch it.

My only other comment is: you seem to be gifted and to work hard in many different areas. Your experience is now being channeled into your fine art. I would imagine, partly because I have similar tendencies, that it might be difficult for you to focus in one area. One subject, one medium, etc. Would that be a worthwhile exercise for you? I bet it would be powerful. For a moment, at least and then, you could dash off to your other captivating interests.

I'm still just mesmerized by your minimal strokes and limited palette on "Rufus" I like the others, too. They are steps on the way.

I'm trying to figure out how to get my photos reduced so I can post some of my own art on my page.

Oh, I spent about a dozen years in LA and your art embodies the feelings of the place.

Thanks for your encouragement. I'm struggling just now as I'm going through a new phase of attempting to fill in some gaps in my art education. I'm self-taught so I'm trying to find sources and artists who inspire and teach me. Your work taught me a lot.

Aloha,
