My name is Laura, and I live in Louisiana. I work mainly in pastels and graphite. I love portraiture. I have lived in Louisiana all of my life, but traveled extensively throughout the United States with my family. I have survived all hurricanes in Louisiana, and I evacuated only once- for Gustav! I had had enough with Katrina and Rita.
I began studying art at the Baton Rouge Fine Arts Academy under Larry Casso 15 years ago. I studied on and off for about 7 years. I continued my studies independently.
Right now, I am in a slump. I have the time, means, and subject matter. But, I have no desire to work on my portraits this month!
