With an emphasis on the American West, I paint to tell a story. The power of an image has lasting consequences and it is my goal, as an artist, to create work that will linger in the mind of individuals who see my paintings. My early art training began as a young child, when my artist mother, Susan Gutting, allowed me to work alongside of her in the studio. I have also studied at the Scottsdale Artist School and through various workshops. While my love of art is inherited from my mom and my growth as an artist cultivated by her, my love of the American West and everything that goes along with it, was fostered by my time spent working with my veterinarian father through my early twenties. The memories from those times are rich and contribute to my vision as an artist. I look forward to a lifetime of artistic growth and opportunity.
