I decided to paint a child that is not my grand child. James is the son of a local watercolor artist. A friend brought the boy to our Saturday painters group and let him paint. It appears that James watches his mother closely as she paints. He is a natural. I was having trouble with the background when someone suggested Starry, Starry Night. I loved the idea and jumped right in. It is painted on 140 lb Arches rough stretched over a sheet of gator board. Matted it will fit a 28 x 22 inch frame. All transparent watercolors except for the chinese white added at the last moment.
