Watercolor on paper 15x 22"
Alleys have always held a special fascination for me and it wasn't until I started doing these watercolors that I realized how universal that appeal is. Growing up in a fifties neighborhood in Denver that had no alleys it was the alley behind my grandparents house that promised adventure and a path to new worlds.
I am not sure why I started painting alleys around Denver but the response to my watercolors has been gratifying. Every one knows where that alley is and the stories and memories that have been shared are nothing short of remarkable.
