Willow Curtain

Three aspects of this scene cried out to me to be painted; the curtain of leaves made by the willow, the intricate shadows on the pathway and the delicate colours of the water in the lake.  I struggled with how to do the shadows and would love some advice on this one as there have been some beautiful shadowy pathways posted on Artist Daily lately!

About Michelle Endersby

For me painting is a journey I didn't even know I was going to embark on.  But now I have headed down the pathway which delights, amazes and sometimes frightens me, I must press on.  Mostly it is a very solitary pursuit, but the encouragement, advice and generosity from fellow travellers has been enlightening and heart warming.  Like Santiago in Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" I don't know where this journey is taking me so I am just following the signs that appear and finding my inspiration in the beauty of nature.
