Roberto del Frate's contemporary Impressionism
Fast and sensitive painter, with enthusiastic temperament, Del Frate was born in Jauary 31, 1960 in Venice by Venetian mother of noble Polish origin. The father, Enrico, (Palmanova 1929 - Venice 2006), is an established painter at local and national level, from which the child learns the craft of art since young. Eclectic and curious, Roberto is also fine writer (published 3 novels) and composer. And his music reflects the same bright light and the same sweetness, that we encounter in his fascinating and evocative paintings, in which the pleasure of painting en plein air, typical of Impressionism, is transposed, with persuasive talent in contemporary reality: a context in which the artist can interpret and make human and almost romantic even the downtown streets congested with traffic, while a light mist of silence, light and small dreams, cloaked in the atmosphere and dampens the sound of the clacson.

After attending assiduously and earnestly Venetian father's studio, located in the Meravegie 
palace  , close to the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, Del Frate has toured Europe frequently, participating in prestigious exhibitions with his works in  Italy and abroad and gaining consensus for its refined chromaticism and tonal sensitivity .
In August 2009  he came to Trieste and, despite coming from Venice, is struck by the charm of the city and from the bora wind, deciding to live and work in the capital of Julian, the first in a camper, then in his studio.
In his paintings, Del Frate is able to masterfully capture the fleeting moment, the reality on the move in the running of a small dog (loves animals and owns nine dogs) and water transparency, made wise through veils made pictorially oil, acrylic and other materials through, can tell of the lapping surf and the wind rustling in the bushes of a garden of flowers, translating the magic and the contemplation of Impressionism in a lively sort of epidermal ataraxia, which makes it able to interpret, with rhythm, and immediate and 
happy adhesion, the genius loci, the beauty and the atmosphere of more intimate places.
