Today, Tomorrow & Forever

A circle placed on a square canvas and surrounded in gold metallic paint to form a faux frame to invite the viewer as if looking through a window into a scene which has a rose bud, a rose in full bloom and a spent bloom just about to drop it's petals. Representing the lifecycle we see the beauty of the rose at each stage and looking out to the distant hills we can believe that the cycle of life and sacred beauty continues into eternity.  I would love to know what you think of this special piece, the epilogue really to my dozen round portraits of roses.

About Michelle Endersby

For me painting is a journey I didn't even know I was going to embark on.  But now I have headed down the pathway which delights, amazes and sometimes frightens me, I must press on.  Mostly it is a very solitary pursuit, but the encouragement, advice and generosity from fellow travellers has been enlightening and heart warming.  Like Santiago in Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" I don't know where this journey is taking me so I am just following the signs that appear and finding my inspiration in the beauty of nature.
