This is my second version of this watercolor of Tiffanie. Again, I used hand made paper – but, this time I coated the paper with gesso. I used the new Daniel Smith's Watercolor Gesso, but I'm sure any gesso would work fine. I discovered that I could blend the color and soften edges much easier with the gessoed surface. I'm quite happy with the way this version turned out. I plan to enter this painting into an upcoming juried exhibit here in New Mexico. Matted and framed the painting will measure 30 x 24 inches. As I said before, Tiffanie is now 14. She is almost three in this painting. She is a fragile little girl. This is the first time she broke her arm.
