Summer in Velvet

This is 30 x 24 Oil on Canvas.  I painted is as a learning experience of sorts because of all the greens in the painting.  The name comes from the fact that the buck has yet to shed the velvet from his antlers.

About Keith

I have been painting most of my life, however most of that time it was very sporadic.  I spent a career as and Engineer, Programmer and Systems Analyst during the years my wife Barbara and I were raising our two sons.

After retirement I have been pursuing my painting passionately.  I love the outdoors and all things wild and beautiful.

I have appeared in several shows, won some awards.  I have been an assistant instructor of Acrylic painting at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC.

I am currently the President of the Cabarrus Art Guild.
