The first time I drew a droplet it turned out looking like a sloppy saliva. This was the feedback from my dear hubby. Trying to draw a water droplet by following the examples in videos somehow did not help me improve. The droplets did not have the fluidity or a translucent look. However, I find that by referring to a black and white shot of a real droplet is much more effective. I can now see the varying degrees of shades. The blacks and grey tones can be easily discerned and correctly placed.
