About Jillian Ryder

Ryder Studio is located in Fountaindale, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. With remnant rainforest, bellbirds and whipbirds, Fountaindale has long been home to artists and musicians. My art is influenced by my surroundings, my garden, the nearby coastline and beaches, and several visits to Tasmania. The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens provided the material for my recent exhibition "My Bloomin' Lot" at Firescreek Winery, Holgate. More recent work can be found at Noorakatarn Gallery, 209 Brisbane Water Drive, Point Clare  NSW Australia.

My paintings are created using acrylic paints on deep edged canvas. I have also been experimenting with mixed media collage, using paper, fabric and recycled materials. New work currently in progress again contains a sense of place, this time the beautiful and unspoiled coastal village that is "Seal Rocks: The Last Frontier."
