Roadkill Petroglyph

Fast forward a couple hundred years when this pictograph depicting the unfortunate demise of an armadillo like creature on a west Texas highway might be seen scratched into the surface of a large rock formation.

I used a little zentangle and a lot of random scribble with Micron pens on a 6 x 9 piece of handmade paper.

About Buck Buchheister

I won't compose a life history here but I will say I've been creating art using a wide variety of media and traditional methods for many, many years. I suppose if I was to pick any favorites, they would be mixed media painting, pens and inks and printmaking but I prefer not to limit myself. I spend much of my time experimenting and much of what you will see posted here will be what I consider to be successful results of that experimentation. I like to keep it light as well so you may (or may not) sense a bit of dry humor in some of these pieces. Either way, I hope you enjoy my work.
