Ode to A Long Lost Summer

Having spent the entire Summer recovering from neurosurgery this is my first painting for the year inspired by a beautiful bunch of hydrangeas.  It's in  acrylic I've used impasto medium to give it some texture.  Love to hear your thoughts.

About Michelle Endersby

For me painting is a journey I didn't even know I was going to embark on.  But now I have headed down the pathway which delights, amazes and sometimes frightens me, I must press on.  Mostly it is a very solitary pursuit, but the encouragement, advice and generosity from fellow travellers has been enlightening and heart warming.  Like Santiago in Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" I don't know where this journey is taking me so I am just following the signs that appear and finding my inspiration in the beauty of nature.
