Nancy

14"x10" on Crescent Illustration Board using multiple brands of colored pencil.

This is my daughter, Nancy.  It took a lot of time and work to get the flesh to look even and smooth.  I am happy with it since it resembles her exactly.  Soon I'll learn if she thinks so, too?

About Sam

An extremely active retirement community in Central Florida, is where I hang my hat and do my artwork.  I am the mother of two, grandmother of two and great-grandmother of seven.  I am a member of the Villages Art League (www.TheVillagesArtLeague.org) and the Visual Arts Association (www.visualartsassociation.com) which provides many opportunities to show and sell artwork as well as classes and workshops by prominent national artists.  I am also a member of the Oil Pastel Society  (www.oilpastelsociety.com). Experimentation is my medium.  I've moved from oils to soft pastels to watercolor to acrylics to colored pencils to oil pastels.  Lately, I have been mixing media.
