I have always been attracted by color and shapes. I love a bright robust color palette. I love what color can suggest. Heat. Cold. Movement. Action. Serenity. Perspective. Forward. Backward. I strive to pull out subtle colors and accentuate them. I spend time studying my source image, whether it is from life or a photograph and analyze the shapes that make up the whole. I think of it as a puzzle. I see the negative and positive shapes. I break them down and put them back together. I am also fascinated by details. I like to add. Subtract. The mind will fill in details that are missing. The brain will understand a whole message or communication with minimal details.
