Garlic 5"x7"

The current DPW challenge is to do white on white.  The tricky thing about doing an almost all white painting is getting the values correct.  I wanted the light on the plate to be warm and the tablecloth to be cooler. I did a stone carving workshop this weekend and my subject was a garlic bulb.  I am going to do a lot of garlic paintings to really get to know this subject…and maybe another sculpture or two.
