Furgary Shanty

11 X 10.5 Pastel Painting. This is one of many little camps in a shanty town used for hunting, trapping and fishing. It was settled by squatters in the 1930's.  Located along the Hudson River in the city of Hudson. Now owned by the city. It was opened for one day for artists to paint and photograph. A really great experience.  Unsure of the future for these little buildings. Comments appreciated.

I am a self taught artist and have always had a passion for art and creating. I am inspired by nature and everyday beauty.  I have worked in watercolor, acrylics and charcoal but truly love the pure color and immediacy of Pastels.  I currently work full time in the medical field, but constantly find myself thinking about the next creation.
