Freeport Totem Pole

This is my tribute to the Krape Park totem pole.  This totem pole had been in our park since 1935 when it was carved by Chief William  Shelton of the Snohomish Indians of the Pacific Northwest as a commissioned piece and donated to the city.  I always remember it standing proud and greeting people as they entered the park.  Unfortunately, the bottom is rotting away and at a cost of near $30,000 to repair, the city can't afford to repair it.  So it is now out of the park and awaiting donation back to the Snohomish indians.
