finger painting

This painting was ceated using nothing but oil paint and my fingers, no tools such as brushes or palette knives were used. The subject is a small creek in a canyon just below Rocky Mountain National Park, I was able to take photos of this area on my lunch break one sunny spring afternoon just after a morning snow.

About Patrick Lawson

I am a Colorado based artist. My subjects are all of locations that have inspired me while wandering through and exploring the Rocky Mountains with my beatiful wife and daughter.

I recreate my Colorado experiences using a variety of media and techniques. I enjoy using alternative materials such as drawing on brown paper grocery bags, and painting with coffee. Currently I am developing a finger painting style of oil painting, I don't allow myself to use any tools such as brushes or palette knives.
