"Fever Dream"

As I stood in a Tai Chi  stance, I saw water dripping down the window pane. I thought, "That would be a good start for a painting."

About Lorraine Centrella

Born, raised, and still living in a small town in Connecticut, I am now working as a part time substitute teacher for pre-school through 5th grade. I feel that it's never too late to start a new interest or learn something new. I have not had formal art training or art education; but I have always been intrigued with color, design, texture, and composition in the natural world. Viewing art in museums/galleries is  an enjoyable activity. A few years ago, I tried my hand at painting with acrylics. I like the diversity - from wet-on-wet to the creamy, buttery, consistency. One of my personal goals is to grow, learn, and experiment as an artist. I enjoy the outdoors, so landscape painting appeals to me. Painting is my creative outlet. It can be fun, relaxing, exhilarating, frustrating, and mind absorbing. It is my transport to another place and time. Any comments and/or suggestions to help me on my artistic journey are welcome. Thank you, Lorraine Elizabeth
