Down But Not Out

This is a watercolor portrait of a man I met in downtown Louisville last summer.  He was enjoying the day, along with hundreds of other people, down at the river front park on the Ohio River.   I thought his face was weathered and interesting; he allowed me to photograph him.  I used frisket to masque out his whiskers and went dark in the background to accentuate them.
