Day 7: Peonies in a Pot. This is gouache on Yupo paper which is not really paper at all but a synthetic/plastic. This means the paint just sits on top of the 'paper' and you can move it around. It is the first time I've used gouache on this surface. So now I've just about experimented with most of the art toys I have never used. Now I have to settle down and start to practice. Day 7 lesson: 7.1 gouache does not move around on Yupo as easily as translucent watercolor; 7.2 a hair dryer cannot be used to hurry up the drying process with Yupo as it just blows the paint around!
