Day 25: In the near future I have coming up, what some think of as, a significant birthday. Maybe related to this I've been struggling with some anxiety around what I've named "fear of loss". And I wanted to do something useful with this energy! So this is the product of that effort. The central image is the Tibetan symbol for impermanence. I wrote the haikus over the last two weeks as thoughts about this topic flowed in and out. I read extensively about time. I was particularly struck by the juxtaposition of the concepts of now and infinity and the perceived passage of time. After writing at length about these ideas the haikus were just there. Day 25 Lesson: Don’t be scared! And stay in the now, the only time there is.
