Coco-nuts

11 x 14 acrylic Taken from a photo of palm tree in Venice, FL  Brought coconuts home to paint, left out to dry and much later they turned this beautiful eggplant color, believe it or not.  This painting won First Prize at Lake County Fair 2011 and won Honorable Mention at the Leesburg Art Association Fall 2010

About Penny Brady

I came to Central Florida about 6 years ago to retire with my husband Harry. Never before have I seen such wonderful landscapes and nature all around us to stir up my painting desires! With no formal training I began to paint and take workshops and read as many books as I could on painting. I decided to try acrylics because of its wonderful use of color and ability to clean up easily! I paint as much as possible. I joined Leesburg Art Association and began to enter my paintings in their shows.

I continue to explore new techniques and ideas to express myself through my work. I enjoy using color and light in my work. I love painting landscapes, florals and nature of all kinds.

Painting is truly my passion in life!
