I made one necessary stop, at a great photo op, on the way back to Albuquerque from Fort Worth. It was cold and windy but, I had to shoot photos of the changing art form called "Cadillac Ranch". Weather and time plus more and more layers of spray paint continue to change this unique form of public art. It's just west of the Amarillo city line. I-40 exit 60. Drive south to the frontage road (old Route 66), then turn left. Drive east one mile. Cadillac Ranch will be on the right (south) side; just park your car along the shoulder and enter the pasture through an unlocked gate. Be sure to take a can of spray paint with you.
This watercolor, done using my photos a reference, is on a full sheet of 300 lb Arches rough. I had a lot of fun painting it. This painting was on my bucket list. I shot photos at Cadillac Ranch a few years back but never painted from them. Matted and framed the painting will 36 x 28 inches.
