Attempt 2 oil 10"x12" #146

I am in intimidating company on this page with all these great portraits by true portrait artists. So you ask, "How could this be the same person as I did in pastel yesterday?"  I lost my confidence and just didn't look as hard as I needed to. It takes a lot of hard looking and clear headedness for me to do portraits.  Now I think I am ready to attempt the real thing.  I am happy with the closeness to reality that this image has….I just need to make sure I captured his energy and spirit.  I am humbled by Kostadin, Yassin and Daniel Peci's work, and I am inspired.
