At Glen Eyrie Castle no.2, oil, 6" x 6"

I painted this small plein air study at Weekend with the Masters in a workshop with Kevin MacPherson. In the morning Kevin asked us to do a landscape study using Portland grey deep for all the darks and put all the color we wanted in the mid-tones and lights. In the afternoon it was the reverse: paint all the lights with Portland grey light and use color in the mid-tones and darks which is the painting posted here.
