An Iconic View from Olana

12 X 16 Pastel Painting. This is one of the views that the "Hudson River School Painters" painted back in the day. Fredric Church and his students would have done this with homemade paints and materials. This view of the Hudson river and the Catskill Mountains is probably one of  the most painted scenes in the Hudson river valley.  C&C welcome.

About laura

I am a self taught artist and have always had a passion for art and creating. I am inspired by nature and everyday beauty.  I have worked in watercolor, acrylics and charcoal but truly love the pure color and immediacy of Pastels.  I currently work full time in the medical field, but constantly find myself thinking about the next creation.
