As a young child I spent many enjoyable hours sketching horses. Over the years my skills have continued to grow. Although I tend to paint mostly horses, I also love to paint dogs, cats, landscapes, seascapes and still life. Every subject offers a new challenge. I am always striving to capture the soul of the animal or the mood of the scene. I have spent a great deal of time learning about light and color so that my paintings would appear to be as real looking as possible yet still have a painterly feel.

I paint in many different mediums, but I enjoy using acrylics the most. The love of painting and the subjects I paint is clearly evident in my work.

Throughout the summer months I show and sell my paintings and prints at local art shows. Some of these events are art competitions and my paintings have won many awards.  For the past year I have been employed by Michaels/Grumbacher to teach acrylic workshops at the local stores. I also teach acrylic painting at AC Moore. I have a degree in graphic arts. Visit my facebook page or my website: www.paintingsilove.com/artist/sharoncoyle
