A Day in the Life

This is a diptych. Both drawings are pastels, 21 x 26 1/4 inches each. The drawing on the left is titled , "Day Job" and the title of the other image is, "Night Life". Together they are titled, "A Day in the Life". This is of my co-worker Jordan changing a light bulb in the warehouse (at work) and then a drawing of him Jam-min at a gig, doing what he loves.

About Neal McDannel

Influences: There are a few. I really Like Alice Neel and Alex Katz. Edward Hopper made work that touched me on an emotional level while Wayne Theibaud's landscapes are extremely aesthetically pleasing along with his masterful use of color. I would also like to acknowledge my family who has been a real inspiration and very supportive in the creative process.
