Judge's Comments: The brushwork and colors in this painting are beautiful. I particularly enjoy the soft whites set against the red in the dress. The whites are exciting in part because the artist has used subtle color tonal changes between dark and light, cool and warm. Also the lost and found edges are beautiful. - Calvin Liang
