Watercolor on Paper - 11x14"

Beautiful painting
I AGREE - ONLY COMMENT WOULD BE THE HER RIGHT EYEBROW NEEDS TO MORE MATCH THE LEFT IN TEXTURE.
I disagree with you on that Richard, as the textured one is closer to us and we would see more hairs, just like leaves on a tree, those farther away are more of a mass. It helps show the perspective. Maybe even the eyelashes in that far eye should be massed together just a little more.
Thanks Jan & Richard for checking out my work and the kind words. Yes the eyebrow on the right probably should be a bit less textured and I notice now that the righ eye should also probably be a bit darker on the brow bone to emphasize the shape more.
Still it is my one of my personal favorites :) I love the John Singer Sargent quote, “A portrait is a painting with something wrong with the mouth.” So true!
Beautiful job Tracey! What's that a reflection of in her eyes?
I respectfully disagree with you Jan --- the further (subjects right) eyebrow is way too smooth and is in fact darker than the closer eyebrow. I think some adjustments should be made both in texture and shade.
It looks great to me. The mystery behind the eyes is great . What is she thinking and what is she looking at. Is she going to say yes or no to a question.
Thanks Laura & Chip :) Yes I have shown this piece a couple of times and the reflection stirs up conversation. I have heard a few really great stories as to what she is looking at, what the reflection is and what she is thinking about. I think I will leave the reflection a mystery :)
Thanks so much for your kind words about my work Jorge :) I was not sure how to reply so posted here, hope this finds you! I did not see any of your work online, hope you will upload some for us to see as well :)

You have great skills.I love you graphite work. Your Pride painting is beautiful. I don't see anything wrong with her eye brows. The reflection in her eyes is what make it so unique. My favorite...........
This is amazing. Love the reflection in the eyes, the color palette, and the emotion.
