You were able to show dimension in the cat's eyes.  That's great.

The change of background light from bright red on the left to dark red on the right gives a mystic mood to the painting which was the reason why I opened it..You captured the features brilliantly.I enjoyed this one

Thank you Gene!   She looks like several cats I had in the past, but she's not mine.  Just a picture I liked, and had to paint.  I took artistic license, of course, and changed it a bit.

Duh...I forgot to tell you what I changed.  The background, the color of the eyes and highlights in the fur, and the features (slightly).
