11x17 Oil. A very impressionist piece. Since it's been so hot, I have turned to a winter setting for a change. I'm really pushing the colors here. As I looked at the finished piece, I see a little Hopper influence (not intentional)

BEAUTIFUL SKYLAR. THIS A TIMELESS AND PLACELESS  PAINTING. THIS SCENE COULD BE NEARLY ANYWHERE AND ANYTIME. ITS NOSTALGIC INA WAY.. EXCELLENT CONTRAST OF COOL SHADOWS AND HOT BRIGHT LIGHTS.

I love the way the light seems to beckon. Somewhere warm to come in from the cold! I can see the Hopper suggestion, but you put your own stamp on this. You seem to be trying a whole new style of painting, I like it. Lots of atmosphere.

That small patch of orange light is calling me.  Where is it coming from? Who is watching out a window?  Is there someone around the corner?  Great feeling.
