Is this one still on the easel? Is it complete? It appears to be in the final stages and incomplete.
I think Kells fell off the easel on this one. I hope it is complete this is a very good example of allowing the viewer to finish the painting. Less is best - Wonderful - wonderful work - you are to be applauded. BRAVO!!!
The BG I find to be very interesting and gives the viewer a lot to imagine as to its place. I invision a wooded area, which makes the painting even more interesting to me.
It is complete. I chose to leave the bkg undefined as to not take away from the subject. Thanks for the comments.
