This was my submittion to the Archery and Primitive Firearms Stamp Contest. Just learned it has been canceled this year BUMMER.

Thanks all, maybe next year right. They didn't want a lot of detail so now I can go back and rework the background a bit to thicken it up. Maybe!

The limited pallette makes this a wonderful piece. Painting's certainly no bummer. Would make a lovely Christmas card.

Thanks Kit, also adding a cardinal in the image would make a nice statement too.

Very Nice !  Its even more impressive when you enlarge it and see the gorgeous detail of the fur.  I like the idea of adding a cardinal.

Thanks Dania, yes there was a great deal of time put into the fur. very little blending. I like the red bird idea too so here we go next christmas holiday card in the design.
