Very nice painting of the Maine coast. I lived in East boothbay Maine for 7 years. Good Job!
Very nice, but the beach in the left foreground seems to slope unnaturally down toward the left edge because of the darkening there with the light coming from the right. Yes, a darkened foreground can help lead the eye into the picture, but it creates a new problem here. Also the downward slope of the line between the foreground beach and the foliage on the left edge reinforces the downward slope of the beach. That part is easily fixed. Perhaps you could invent some foliage to hide that tilt of the beach.
